I’ve been thinking about typing all day and delaying so it’s 9:45pm and I’m finally opening the computer. Christopher and I watched game 7 between Colorado and Dallas (Dallas won – big third period comeback) and we made nachos and wings together. Hanky is resting with me, after his night walk he comes and lays underneath the couch, then eventually when he’s so tired he creeps out and jumps on the couch to sleep before I take him to bed. Chris is watching youtube. Some firework stuff. His parents are coming over tomorrow. We went to Granville Island today and bought some fresh tuna and chicken skewers and potatoes and green beans. It was so busy down there, beautiful day. It gets packed and people mainly our tourists and walk around taking photos rather than grocery shopping the way we do. We are in and out. It’s nice walking down there, I do that often, it’s only a forty minute walk and I love walking. Listening to a podcast, clearing my mind. Yesterday I had the best day. Tammy and I had lunch with Melissa at Nightingale. We ordered way too much food. It’s all so delicious. Tammy packed up her meatballs to go, they came at the end after we had stuffed ourselves with 7 other plates of food. Then we went for iced coffees to have at the spa. We went to L’Atelier, incredible. We had mani/pedis and they have these giant chairs which are four feet wide and 6 feet long and full of pillows, so comfortable. We all took naps. Melissa added a massage treatment and it’s a full massage – legs, arms, shoulders, neck. Yum. It lasted 2 hours. So peaceful. Melissa left for home after, while Tammy and I met Debbie at Jimmy Choo where the Veuve was poured and I grabbed my teeny tiny little pearl bag that I always wear around the store while we shop. I found this adorable gold bucket bag which I want to buy so I’m trying to sell my Jacquemus bag that I bought in Seattle (never used, still unsure why I bought it) and use those funds towards this bucket bag. We left and went to Gucci where I picked up my pale blush pink pair of platform sandals. I still haven’t unboxed them. Now I’m thinking with the material, how am I supposed to keep these things clean but I know I’ll figure it out. They are gorgeous. We then ubered to the casino where we had dinner at the Victor – we chose the bar because it’s happy hour until 7. Tammy and I were still so full from lunch, we ordered some sushi and fries and oysters (for them, not me) and each had two drinks. Craig and Chris were coming later to meet us at the casino for some gambling so we headed downstairs. I put $20 into the Frankenstein machine and almost immediately won $95. Then I went to my spelling machine and lost $10 because I could tell the woman next to me gave bad vibes so I got up, turned around and saw a dynamite machine. Since Chris loves to watch fireworks and see things explode, I thought this would bring good luck and it did! I won $40 and then I cashed out. So I left with $140 after spending $20 and I felt great. Chris and I said bye bye and came home to our baby Hanky who I missed all day. I snuggled him and we fell asleep and what a fabulous day I had.
I think my next post I want to write one of my funny/embarrassing stories from my past. I’ve been wanting to do that for a while. Years. I was talking about one last night and it reminded me that I need to get these stories out.
