I am sure the website will be an ongoing process but I have watched several videos, read many how-to guides here and with the help of the nice help staff, it is currently showing the way I was hoping.
Today I feel light. I feel no stress. I feel reassured. I feel good.
My husband and are taking a getaway to Las Vegas next week, staying at our favourite hotel, the Cosmopolitan. It recently merged with MGM properties, which lowered my tier score and changed the offers I would normally receive and I’m hoping I’ll still get the perks like the beautiful room with a fountain view of the Bellagio fountains. I love sitting out on the balcony with a glass of wine and some chips and watching the fountain go off. My husband is scared of heights, or doesn’t prefer heights, so he comes out for a little time, staying far away from the guard rail and close to the door but mainly it’s me outside, having a little me time alone. Typically it’s after I shower and I’m getting ready for our dinners and then after dinner before going to bed. I know, I know – who sleeps in Vegas?? ME. I sleep in Vegas. I love to sleep. I sleep on the airplane as soon as we take off and don’t wake up until we’ve arrived. I love a good nap. I’ve booked my massage at the spa at the Cosmo, it’s so beautiful and I go there each trip. It’s peaceful and has a nice hot tub area which has a rain shower attached and sauna, steam, cold rooms. There are some chairs so you can rest, lay out a bit before or after your treatments. They also have great snacks there to choose from. I always book for the day after we arrive because I can take a few extra water bottles with me from the spa to our room. They are a good size for when we are walking to other hotels, or shopping to have in my purse. At home, I always use a reusable bottle and sometimes I use it in Vegas but other times, convenience wins and I don’t want to carry my Lululemon bottle around. They recycle in Vegas now… that’s a plus.
We rotate which restaurants we eat at each trip and always try to find a new one to try. There are too many good ones! This trip, we will be eating at Scarpetta, Giadas, and Tom Colicchio (this is the new one). Last trip we ate at Scarpetta, STK, and Ocean Prime. The fourth night we do something casual – for example, last time we were there for Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs between Edmonton and Florida and I didn’t want to risk a bar/restaurant not having the game on; plus I like listening to the broadcast so we went to Hattie Bs and watched the game from our room with fried chicken and champagne! It was great – sorry Oilers fans.
I have to say, I’m proud that I figured out this website. I showed it to my husband last night and he’s proud too. Today is for packing, something I’m either really good at or terrible, no in-betweens. Laundry is going and I can’t wait to pack up and get out of here for a week!
